Introducing Quetzly Pro

Today I'm introducing Quetzly Pro, a new desktop product for ArcGIS service health checks.

What is Quetzly Pro for?

The Quetzly Chrome extension has been great for quick, browser-based validation of ArcGIS services. But it has one hard limitation: it's a browser extension, and a lot of workplaces don't allow browser extensions at all.

Quetzly Pro exists to solve that. It's a desktop application that brings the same validation workflow to environments where installing a Chrome extension simply isn't an option, while also going further than the extension can in the browser.

What it does

Quetzly Pro is built around four core areas:

  • Reports — Run a full health report across an entire ArcGIS Server site and export the results as a shareable PDF.
  • Service Directory — Browse folders and services in a cleaner, faster desktop interface than the raw REST directory.
  • Authentication — Save servers and sign in with OAuth or credentials, so you can audit secured services, not just public ones.
  • Dependency Graphs — Visualize which web maps and apps depend on a given service, so you understand the blast radius before you make a change.

On top of that, it includes scheduled monitoring and alerts, so services you care about get checked automatically and failures show up as alerts.

Why it matters

Silent service failures occur regardless of extension policy, and organizations with strict IT controls are often the least equipped to detect them early. Quetzly Pro addresses this by providing a secure, locally run desktop workflow for validating ArcGIS service health without relying on browser extensions.

Quetzly Pro closes that gap. Same philosophy as the extension. Catch problems before your users do.

Why it's an alternative to the Chrome extension, not a replacement

Quetzly Pro isn't "the extension but bigger." It's a different tool for a different constraint:

  • Use the Chrome extension when you can install it and just want fast, one-click checks while browsing the REST directory.
  • Use Quetzly Pro when browser extensions are blocked, when you need authenticated access to secured servers, or when you want reports, scheduling, and dependency analysis in one place.

Both are built on the same core idea. Pick whichever one fits your environment.

Beta status

Quetzly Pro is free during beta. Once beta ends, it will become a paid product for the advanced desktop workflow it provides. Everyone who joins now gets full access at no cost and a direct line to shape what ships next.

Get started

As always, feedback shapes the roadmap. If there's a workflow you wish Quetzly Pro handled better, let us know.
