Schedule and Alerts

Use Schedule to automate checks and Alerts to track issues over time.

Create a schedule

  1. Open Schedule.
  2. Enter a Name.
  3. Enter an ArcGIS URL.
  4. Choose Type:
    • Server (full scan)
    • Single service
  5. Choose an Interval (from 1 minute up to 24 hours).
  6. Click Add Schedule.

Manage existing schedules

Each schedule row supports:

  • Enable/disable toggle.
  • Interval updates.
  • Run now for immediate execution.
  • Remove when no longer needed.

Server schedules can also expose a View Report action after runs complete.

Background run option

Use Run in background to keep monitors active when the main window is closed (system tray behavior).

Understand alert behavior

Open Alerts to review monitor events.

Typical alert scenarios:

  • Critical service failures detected during scheduled runs.
  • Monitor execution errors.
  • Repeated outages over time.

Suggested operations workflow

  1. Set high-frequency checks for critical public services.
  2. Use lower frequency for internal or low-change endpoints.
  3. Review Alerts daily and clear only after triage.
